1. Agreement

By completing a booking with TubHire (“we”, “us”, “our”), you (“the customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. These terms apply to all hire agreements for moving tubs and associated equipment delivered and collected by TubHire across Melbourne.

TubHire is operated by Hard Rubbish 2 Go Pty Ltd, 142 Stawell St, Burnley VIC 3121.

2. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from TubHire via email or SMS. You must provide accurate delivery and pickup addresses at the time of booking.

TubHire accepts no liability for failed deliveries or collections resulting from incorrect address information provided by the customer. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your required delivery date.

3. Bond / Deposit

A $250 bond will be pre-authorised (held) on your nominated debit or credit card at the time of booking confirmation. This is a hold only — no funds are debited unless fees are incurred under these Terms and Conditions.

The bond will be released in full within 3–5 business days of successful tub collection, provided all tubs and lids are returned in satisfactory condition and within the agreed hire period.

If any fees are applicable (damage, loss, late return, or cleaning), TubHire reserves the right to deduct those amounts from the bond prior to release. Any costs exceeding the bond will be invoiced separately and must be paid within 7 days. By providing your card details, you authorise TubHire to charge applicable fees to that card.

4. Hire Periods

The hire period begins on the date of delivery and ends on the agreed collection date as specified at booking. Standard hire periods per package are:

  • Studio / 1 Bedroom: 3 days
  • 2–3 Bedroom: 5 days
  • 4–5 Bedroom: 7 days
  • Office / Commercial: 7 days

Extended hire days can be arranged prior to or during your hire period at $20 per day (for the full order). Please contact us before your collection date to arrange this.

5. Late Return Fees

If tubs are not made available for collection on the agreed collection date, a late fee of $20 per day will apply to the entire order. This fee applies regardless of package size.

The daily late fee accumulates from the day after the agreed collection date until all tubs and lids are successfully collected by TubHire. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure tubs are accessible and ready for collection at the agreed pickup address. Failed collection attempts due to inaccessibility will be treated as late returns and charged accordingly.

6. Damaged Tubs & Lids

TubHire tubs are inspected and photographed before every delivery. If a tub or lid is returned damaged beyond normal wear, a fee of $25 per damaged tub will be charged. Lost tubs incur a replacement fee of $40 per tub and lost lids $15 per lid.

7. Cleaning

Tubs must be returned in a clean and dry condition. If a tub is returned soiled and requires cleaning, a $5 cleaning fee per tub will apply.

8. Delivery & Collection

Free delivery & pickup applies to suburbs within 5km of Melbourne CBD — including Richmond, South Yarra, St Kilda, Fitzroy, Carlton, Collingwood, Prahran, Windsor, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, Albert Park, North Melbourne, West Melbourne, Parkville, East Melbourne, CBD, Southbank, and Docklands.

A $25 delivery & pickup fee applies to all other suburbs outside this zone.

TubHire will confirm your delivery window at the time of booking. A responsible adult must be present at the delivery and collection address. If no one is available to accept delivery or provide access for collection, additional fees may apply.

9. Customer Responsibilities

  • Keep tubs secure and protected from weather during the hire period
  • Do not use tubs for hazardous, chemical, or illegal materials
  • Ensure tubs are accessible for collection at the agreed time and address
  • Return all tubs and lids — do not leave them at the kerb or dispose of them

10. Liability

TubHire’s liability is limited to the value of the hire fees paid. We accept no liability for damage to property, personal injury, or loss arising from the use of our equipment. The customer is responsible for safe handling and use of all tubs during the hire period.

11. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking value.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Victorian law.
